This is a ripening chamber for hotels, supermarkets and food processors. It holds fruit between 14 and 23 °C at 90% relative humidity, and ethylene generators bring the crop to ripeness on a controlled schedule.
The chamber is built from PPGI-clad polyurethane foam panels, with a single swing or sliding door to each room. A refrigeration system with a higher airflow evaporator, a humidifier and automatic defrost hold the conditions, while CO2 and ethylene analysers track the gas levels in the room. It runs on a 380 to 480 volt supply, and stacking crates are supplied with it.
